Human Welfare Foundation's water and sanitation programs incorporate building infrastructure, sanitation improvement and overall hygiene awareness. Clean drinking water is made accessible by providing hand pumps, open wells and RO Plants in rural areas and villages affected by drought.
Our Orphan Care programme is dedicated to providing quality assistance for orphans regardless of their religion, creed or gender. It also strives to ensure orphans receive the basic necessities of life - providing them with food, clean water, regular medical check-ups and education.
We are committed to providing individuals and communities with training in small-scale skills and interest-free business loans, which offer them dignified and well sustainable ways to make a living. HWF addresses the root causes of poverty through long-term solutions which promote sustainable livelihood. Under Economic Empowerment Project, we establish Vocational Training Centres (VTC) and Skill Development Centres (SDC) and execute self-employment programs in order to achieve this sustainable livelihood goal.
From establishing new schools to capacity building of existing schools, HWF focuses on creating educational campuses across the country and provides scholarships for higher studies and career guidance through its newly established Centre for Training and Educational Guidance (CTAG).
HWF implements a wide array of health and nutrition projects, providing basic and supplementary medical services for populations in dire need. It establishes and runs medical care centres and mobile medical vans, taking healthcare to inaccessible and rural areas.
Our community development projects are designed in a way that helps most deprived people get their basic needs such as water and housing and so empowers them to move forward.
Under the Hunger Relief Program, HWF helps thousands of people fight hunger. Under the program, we provide food kits to the neediest and distribute cooked food packets daily through our community kitchens in Delhi and Kolkata under a new project called ‘Project Ehsas’.
HWF provides financial aid to homeless people living in the least developed villages in various North Indian states. Victims of natural calamities are given priority under the housing aid project.
Empowering poor and marginalized women is one of the key goals of the HWF right from its inception. Through our projects, we aim to assist the women community through various educational, healthcare and income-generating initiatives.
HWF designed Village Project to actively participate in the nation-building process by transforming villages as ‘Model Villages’ through long-term projects and systematic intervention strategies. Under this Project, efforts are being made to improve the socio-economic condition of the residents of the adopted villages with better accessibility to health, education and livelihood.
Nagrik Vikas Kendra (NVK) works as a bridging agency between different government departments and the downtrodden people to avail them of the benefit of such government schemes. NVKs are not only creating awareness among the masses but also supporting the beneficiaries until they receive the final output in the form of money or document.
